I pledge allegiance to the flag

of the United States of America

And to the Republic for which it stands

One Nation under God,

indivisible,

with Liberty and Justice For All.

There seems to be a driving force to take the words "under God" out of "The Pledge of Allegiance". It may surprise those who know my stand on religious matters and public schools, but I am complete support of keeping the words "under God" in the pledge. I don't know why it was amended to put it in in the first place(the original pledge did not have it in there), but I think those words are fine. It's not school prayer or singing Christian religious hymns which interfere in the beliefs of children who are raised in the USA with the Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu faiths.

Now is the time for keeping together and respecting EVERYONE'S beliefs...let's find our common ground as Americans and move on
